Name "Priroda"[edit]
Where does the name "Priroda" come from? What does it mean?
It seems to be the Russian word for "nature" or "the nature". I do get the connection between nature and protected areas, but why (if the name is indeed from there) a Russian word for a writing contest about areas in Switzerland? (Nothing against the Russian language, just curious how that came to be.) Or is the Swiss Priroda-Dossier part of a larger, international initiative? --das-g (talk) 08:51, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
- Guten Tag, Das-g, Du hast das gut herausgearbeitet; das ist alles richtig was Du schreibst. Und: Tatsächlich soll der Name neugierig machen, weil man es hier in dieser Region und den damit verbundenen Sprachregionen nicht unbedingt kennt. Es gibt keinen weiteren Zusammenhang.
