Affcom Notification

Hello,

I'm writing to you on behalf of the Affiliation Committee about the the use of ohe title of "user group" without AffCom's recognition of the group and permission from the Foundation. Please note that the use the title and/or WMF trademarks without permission, might affect any future submission from the group for recognition. We strongly recommend ceasing this practice and removing Wikimedia Foundation trademarks from meta and all social media channels of your group.

We expect you take the necessary steps to immediately rectify the questionable information.

Hello @Basak Thank you for your query. We would like to ask if it is possible to share with us where the use of trademark is so we rectify it. Hi Joy Agyepong,

I understand that this message might have sounded alarming to you. I would like to clarify that the only issue was the group stating them as a thematic organization. We noticed that the statement has been rectified. There is no trademark issue here. While working on similar concerns, she posted this by mistake while the communication was supposed to be for the rectification of ThOrg reference. Kindly, --Mehman 97 21:09, 17 February 2021 (UTC)
