Is it possible to use "math" instead of "tex" in mimetex.php and thereby retain the <math> tags that Wikipedians are used to? --24.16.242.61 06:47, 31 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Does anyone know of a solution for caching images created with mimetex? (Using Mimetex seems to be a very clean and easy solution, but seems to require unneccesarily much server performance without caching...) --SHL 18:26, 15 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

What versions of Mediawiki does mimetex work with?

It doesn't look like it has any cashing built in. It would be nice if it added some headers like ETAGS and expire headers so the image could be cached by squid servers and browsers more effectively. If I were to go hacking mimetex I would make it output PNG files instead of gif. The extension should work with about any version of Mediawiki. It's a very simple extension and easy to install. I was able to get mimetex and the extension installed in under an hour on website. Brianegge 13:14, 14 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
