Google Calendar

[edit]

Hiya - just to point out that the 'Add to my Google Calendar' link creates an entry for 13th Feb 2011. Sorry I haven't corrected it (not quite sure how but I'll see if I can find some time to work it out...) --TheTrabiMechanic (talk) 15:59, 19 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

I fixed it. There should have been two parameters, not one: the meetup number and the date as CCYYMMDD. --Redrose64 (talk; at English Wikipedia) 19:36, 19 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
@WereSpielChequers: it shows how often people use the Google Calendar feature. The problem went right back to London 76; I've fixed them. --Redrose64 (talk; at English Wikipedia) 19:51, 19 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
And now the page looks bad - the number of days? Gordo (talk) 20:33, 19 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
I would have no objection to removing the number of days item. It doesn't always work properly anyway. CT Cooper · talk 09:24, 20 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
@LoopZilla: The number of days was traditionally there, it just hasn't been displayed on Meetup/London/76 and subsequent pages because the wrong values had been fed into User:Fæ/GCal (which is used as a template). @CT Cooper: Sometimes it doesn't tick off the days in real time, but any edit to the page will "correct" it, as will a purge (more on that at en:WP:PURGE). --Redrose64 (talk; at English Wikipedia) 14:37, 20 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
Indeed, though not everyone knows that, so the page will occasionally display incorrect information. If people want to keep it, I have no objection, but on the other hand I don't consider it an essential feature of the page. CT Cooper · talk 14:41, 21 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for fixing this. CT Cooper · talk 09:24, 20 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
I agree also to remove the indication of days if it doesn't work well every time, otherwise someone will come to the meetup after 2 days and wait in vain. --Daniele Pugliesi (talk) 12:31, 8 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
