Sunday November 13 Strategic Wikimedia Affiliates Network meeting
The Strategic Wikimedia Affiliates Network (SWAN) is a developing forum for all Wikimedia movement affiliates to share ideas on the Wikimedia 2030 strategy process. It expands on the model of the All-Affiliates Brand Meeting to help lay some of the groundwork for a future Global Council.
We'll focus on strategic and outreach topics of mutual concern to all affiliates including Wikimedia Research Fund, 2023 Ombuds commission and Case Review Committee appointments process, feedback on consultation and community session of the Movement Charter Drafting Committee, various Wikimania topics: (ideas/suggestions for Wikimania 2023, expressions of interest for Wikimania 2024 and beyond, expressions of interest to join Wikimania Steering Committee), and other ongoing activities.
This month we are meeting on Sunday November 13, and you are all invited to RSVP here.

Equipment Support
Dear Members, I am here to discuss about the lack of the basic infrastructure for the user group to undertake some projects. Since we are planning for institutional engagement for Kashmiri Wikipedia and organizing workshops which would be helpful for development of Kashmiri Wikipedia, we must have the necessary equipments to carry out such activities. Until now, I used my old laptop to carry such activities, but the speed of the laptop is slow and is full on storage now. Besides a designated laptop for User Group would help us to keep different files and data related to the User Group at one place, which could be used in future for transparency and better learning. As such, Laptop and a Camera for User Group would be helpful in many ways eg. In creating presentations, other material and documenting events etc. The laptop would be with me for a year after which it's time could be extended according to the needs. Other community members could also ask for the laptop in they are taking any project. If the members of the group are unanimous on the decision, we could ask CIS-A2K to provide the required support for the group. 511KeV (talk) 11:36, 23 October 2022 (UTC)
- Support, I support this, Kashmiri Wikipedia needs such events for which such equipments are necessary. I will also participate in helping in such events. I am confident 511KeV will help in growing this Wikipedia. Koshur (talk) 13:56, 30 October 2022 (UTC)
- Support, I totally support this. 511KeV has done an amazing job in bringing kashmiri Wikipedia into a bigger spot in previous months and in order to keep that trajectory, it is important to have the necessary equipments for greater events. Imranqazi90 (talk) 11:40, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
