Progress

All: I think this FAQ should soon be ready for release.

Kronf is making great and really helpful edits and once he's through, it should be good to go, language-wise. However, there are a few technical issues (noted in the translation) that cannot and should not be addressed in a translation. I wrote fundraising copy in the U.S. and in Germany. Americans want to mail a check. Germans want to transfer money. However, there is a huge difference between a (cheap, quick) EU bank transfer and a wire to a U.S. bank. It's paperwork, it needs the proper account numbers and SWIFT codes, and it costs $25 and more a pop. If the transfer says that recipient bears the cost, then it could be worse than a check.

Also, there are a lot of links into other (presumably German) chapters that need to be resolved. BsBsBs 15:09, 1 October 2011 (UTC)

Great. Please keep comments that need to be read and understood by our American friends in English. Das scheint leider nicht geschehen zu sein. Die FAQ wurden unter http://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/FAQ/de mitsamt den Übersetzer-Kommentaren veröffentlicht, was bei den Lesern sicherlich für Verwirrung sorgen dürfte. -- Zwaailicht 16:42, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
