Fall back

This current page was started from the zh-hant translation. There is a question: to which language (en:? zh?) should the links fall back? The Cantonese wikipedia tradition is to fall back to English, rather than to zh-hant, since every level of translation often brings inaccuracies. Hillgentleman 04:14, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

As I'm sure you know, "fallback" doesn't mean that that's the language that you will translate from, it means that's the language we would provide of there is no translation the target language. ie. if there is no Cantonese translation, instead show the Traditional Chinese translation (because more speakers of Cantonese will likely understand zh-hant than en).
