Talk:Feminism and Folklore 2022/List of Articles
Add topicCroatia-related articles
[edit]@Tiven2240:, I decided to make a list of Croatia-related which could be added to this project, however I am not sure about the criteria of inclusion. I created the following list using the online version of Croatian Encyclopaedia. Most biographies present in this encyclopaedia are also present nn Croatian (hr.) wiki, however folklorists and ethnologists are badly covered.
- Female folklorists
- Ljiljana Marks (no wikis, Croatian encyclopaedia link)
- Tatjana Perić-Polonijo (no wikis, Croatian encyclopaedia link)
- Divna Zečević (no wikis, Croatian encyclopaedia link)
- Female naïve artists
Naïve art is prominent in Croatian art. Two of the three naïve art movements mentioned in the en.wiki are from Croatia.
- Grupa Zemlja (Earth Group), one of the three naïve art movements mentioned in the en.wiki article ([https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q1562938#sitelinks-wikipedia English, Croatian and Serbo-Croatian wiki)
- Hlebinska slikarska škola (Hlebine Art School), one of the three naïve art movements mentioned in the en.wiki article (Croatian & Ukranian wiki)
- Katarina Henc, painter, (no wikis, Croatian encyclopaedia link)
- Sofija Naletilić Penavuša, one of the most prominent Croat female artists. Made sculptures out of wood, mostly depicting animals. (3 wikis (Croatian, Bosnian & Ukranian))
- Female ethnologists
- Katica Benc-Bošković (no wikis, Croatian encyclopaedia link)
- Jasna Čapo Žmegač (only Croatian wiki)
- Nada Gjetvaj (no wikis, Croatian encyclopaedia link)
- Jadranka Grbić (no wikis, Croatian encyclopaedia link)
- Marijana Gušić (no wikis, Croatian encyclopaedia link)
- Mara Hećimović-Seselja (no wikis, Croatian encyclopaedia link)
- Višnja Huzjak (no wikis, Croatian encyclopaedia link)
- Aleksandra Lazarević (no wikis, Croatian encyclopaedia link)
- Zdenka Lechner, (no wikis, Croatian encyclopaedia link)
- Aleksandra Muraj, (no wikis, Croatian encyclopaedia link)
- Olga Oštrić, (no wikis, Croatian encyclopaedia link)
- Jelka Radauš-Ribarić, (no wikis, Croatian encyclopaedia link)
- Dunja Rihtman-Auguštin (only Croatian wiki)
- Lydia Sklevicky, (5 wikis)
- Olga Supek, (no wikis, Croatian encyclopaedia link)
- Zorica Supek, (no wikis, Croatian encyclopaedia link)
S0mething related to the en:Croatian Tales of Long Ago should be included. It is a collection of short stories by en:Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić, the most notable Croatian female writer and one of the most internationally known Croatian writers. In this work, most of the characters and events have their origins in Slavic mythology, as Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić studied pre-Christian Slavic (folk) culture. She was nominated four times for the Noble prize.
There are other topics and fields which I have not covered (e.g. Croatian folk culture) due to a lack of time. I might add more entries to this list in the near future. Croxyz (talk) 09:37, 27 January 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Croxyz thanks for the list. The contest is not only focused in creation of new article but also expansion of articles provided it is done by 300 words and 3000 bytes, well sourced and is notable without affecting local policies on Wikipedia. We strongly urge you to kindly fill in the table information on the Project page to add Croatian Wikipedia to the contest. This information can be also made available on the local project page on Croatian Wikipedia. Thanks and regards --11:20, 27 January 2022 (UTC) Tiven2240 (talk) 11:20, 27 January 2022 (UTC)
