An interesting concept. There is, however, a large group of articles that are intentionally not equivalent. This can be for reasons of workload - a five man wikipedia does not have the manpower to make its pages equivalent to the reams of text on en: - or it can be a matter of relevance - where en: will often compare USA en UK practices, es: might want to compare Spain and Spanish-speaking Latin America. For those articles where the concept really can be applied, you might want to add a somewhat more complex example, where several articles and languages are equivalent to several others, and people are editing at the same time.
