Thanks for your Wish!

[edit]

Hi @Keith D - thanks for sharing your wish regarding Structured Data and the Watchlist.

So we can better understand and categorize your wish, could you share a little more context? Specifically, we'd love to see a screenshot of the issue you're encountering, and learn how solving this wish would improve the quality of content on Wikipedia Commons and/or a moderator's workflows.

If you could, please update your wish by clicking "Edit wish" with this information. JWheeler-WMF (talk) 19:30, 15 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Progress into focus area

Hello Keith D, thank you for raising this problem around tracking Structured Data edits with more ease. We have added this wish to a focus area named “Make it easier for patrollers and other editors to prioritize tasks”. Please review the focus area and give feedback on the talkpage. If you are also ready to support this focus area, you may proceed to vote. Please remember to log in before using the support button. Thank you for submitting this wish once again. –– STei (WMF) (talk) 14:21, 19 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Phabricator ticket + questions

[edit]

Hi @Keith D - I'm the product manager for the Moderator Tools team at the Wikimedia Foundation. My team is currently learning more about tasks related to Recent Changes and the Watchlist and I think this seems like a valuable proposal. I've filed T380021 to summarise what is being requested here - do you think this is an accurate description of the request?

I also had a quick question - it sounds like this is primarily an issue on Wikimedia Commons, where pages can have both structured and unstructured content, is that right? Are there any other contexts where this would be relevant? Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 10:43, 15 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, that looks like a good summary, it also covers my other wish Community Wishlist/Wishes/Watchlist - hide structured data edits as the two are tied in together. It only applies to Commons as the other wikis do not have structured data. Keith D (talk) 12:59, 15 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
