Transclusions

Maybe this could be addressed in a way that also solves the problem of named refs missing in articles that transclude a section with a named ref where the ref is defined outside the transcluded section. Prototyperspective (talk) 11:46, 3 August 2024 (UTC)

Missed to say that I think this would be useful. But the proposal is short on technicalities of how this could be implemented. Maybe it would be quite difficult. When editing a section it would be best if all the named refs were changeable within the edit field, maybe some extra textfield that contains 'these named references have been specified outside the current section you can see and edit them here' which are retrieved when clicking on the edit button of a section and then added in changed form to wherever they are defined when publishing the section edit.
