FYI the PageTriage system used on the English Wikipedia already does this. Perhaps a better goal would be to complete the task of de-enwikifying that codebase so it could be used on other wikis rather than cherry-picking features from it to the core NewPages. * Pppery * it has begun 21:38, 2 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Ebrahim and page watchers - I wanted to let you know that my team (Moderator Tools) has started work on this wish at T56145. Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 13:19, 15 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Ebrahim Just letting you know that we expect to deploy this in early January, after the WMF holidays in December. Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 13:19, 12 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Fantastic. Thanks --Ebrahimtalk 05:38, 13 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Ebrahim This is now deployed! You should be able to find the 'Recreated' tag in venues like Special:RecentChanges and Special:NewPages. Samwalton9 (WMF) (talk) 10:28, 3 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Samwalton9: It looks just great, thanks for informing me! It was one nice and needed feature, using some local user stylesheet I've just made the tag a little bigger in my home wiki so that patrollers can notice it even better. This is one important thing for patrollers to know. Thanks! --Ebrahimtalk 15:19, 3 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
