On-wiki example?
[edit]Hi Ponor - I've been trying to find an example of this on-wiki, but English is the only language I speak well. Can you help me find an article containing a phrase like this so I can see what the search engine is doing under the hood? CParle (WMF) (talk) 11:25, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- @CParle (WMF), of course!
- Let's say you want to link "Svetog Rimskog Carstva" with Sveto Rimsko Carstvo in the first sentence of hr:Kraljevina Bohemija.
- It won't find the article with "Svetog Rimskog Carstva" pre-filled. Remove the first "g" - nothing. Remove the second "g" as well, the article we want is now listed, and there's no need to replace the last "a" with an "o" in Carstva→Carstvo.
- Ideally, everything would work from the beginning. The AI wikilink suggestions (for new editors) are pretty good at this, unlike the old way. ponor (talk) 11:41, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
