I’m an education reporter with the New Haven Register and have noticed that many students have become Wiki-users.
Since Wikipedia entries often pop up near the top of google searches, many students tend to use the cite when doing research for school projects.
This has raised concern among some educators.
I’d just like to know where you stand on this – do you encourage or discourage students from relying on or citing Wikepedia in their work.
Is there an official policy.
How accurate is Wikipedia?
Is there any screening of articles or information before they get posted to the Web?
What kind of quality control do you have?
Do you see Wikipedia as an experiment or as resource?
