After the event

• I'll add that is a good idea to share on social media or other community channels the achievements of the event. Saying, "thanks to X & Z, this article (URL) is now on X Wikipedia language". By doing it, people can give rewarding kudos to the editors (new or experienced) and other users chan "check" the work done. You also spread the idea of the event to other potential event organizers. Some ideas

I'd do more emphasis in correcting the translation after and not only during the translation, since it is one of the main complaints of non-translator users. We advise to "localise" the article if possible, I mean, perhaps some content can have a local section (written from scratch), specially important for readers of that target wikipedia. I know it can be difficult and it is not a "must-have", but it helps a lot to have a good welcome for the article. Before the event

For articles to be translated, I will add that organizers should make a list of articles before the event. During the event, participants will be given numbers which will be used to assign articles to them. This works and would reduce the time spent choosing articles to be translated on the spot. --Uzoma 23:28, 7 August 2018 (UTC)
