Visions are poetry; I hesitate to revise... @Quiddity (WMF):

"Imagine a programming system that truly is accessible not only to speakers of English, but that is open to billions of people more who do not have to learn English first in order to learn how to program."

Without a comma before it, "who" heads a defining or restrictive relative clause, and I think we do want to be accessible to people who do have to learn English, as well as to those who don't!

Let's try moving "not only" and change "do" to "will"...

Technically, "who" might still not be properly restrictive here and neutral English would probably say "...system that is truly accessible", but visions are poetry.--GrounderUK (talk) 15:32, 29 August 2020 (UTC)

@GrounderUK: That sounds like a very sensible clarification. I think ease of understanding is the most important thing here, and is arguably a distinction between visions and [at least some] poetry! No vision?

Abstract Wikipedia is so much more than just Functions. Why is there only a redirect? If there is an implementation plan, there has to be a vision too... Nikolay Komarov (talk) 13:21, 17 September 2023 (UTC)

@Nikolay Komarov The redirect is to the Vision page on Wikifunctions. We moved the fundamental pages away from Meta to host them on the new project, as we thought it was more fit to host them there. Sannita (WMF) (talk) 15:37, 8 February 2024 (UTC)
