Systemic bias is any (generally) unintentional bias arising from constraints.
Experimental Bias
[edit]Examples of experimental systemic bias include observer bias, selection bias and diagnostic bias.
Diagnostic Bias
[edit]Here the nature or effectiveness of the diagnostic method varies with the variable under test. For example when diagnosing uterine cancer, a common technique for diagnosis has a higher effectiveness in those using oral contraceptives due to the increased probability of breakthrough bleeding.
Personal Bias
[edit]Examples of personal systemic bias are cultural, notational and infrastructural.
