The Community Strategy Liaisons are part-time, remote contractors with an initial contract of approximately 9 months. Their role is to act as a bridge between language communities and the Movement Strategy Process, including the Core Team and the Working Groups.

They build relationships with Wikimedia community members in their assigned language around the world and undertake outreach and engagement activities with these communities around the Movement Strategy Process.

Community Strategy Liaisons also share guidance so that communities are supported in their engagement. They are responsible for highlighting and summarizing community feedback as well as engaging volunteer translators so that the feedback can be included in the global dialog and drafting of recommendations for Wikimania 2019.
