Review of our Flagged Revs Paper

[edit]

@Clayoquot: Greetings! I am one of the authors of the paper in question. Thanks for thorough review. One small initial response about this sentence:

"Another part of the paper asserts that "the English Wikipedia community" hired at least one contractor to do technical work, implying that the authors mistakenly believe the community can hire people."

That's for catching this unfortunate mistake! I assure you that the authors understand that this is not the case. It (obviously) should have said "The WMF hired hired someone" or maybe "The WMF hired someone to work related to the use of the system in the English Wikipedia Community." I can't remember the details of the sentence/situation in question to know which one should be true. —mako 21:55, 25 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
