Arguments in favour

[edit]
  • Vestgjøtska is spoken by a great population within the Swedish province Västergötland, and it's grammar differs even more from regular Swedish grammar than the grammar of Danish and Norwegian differ from the Swedish one. In Vestgjøtska there still are a lot of grammatical cases that have disappeared in Swedish, Danish and Norwegian. There are still three genders of the nouns, while there are only two in Swedish, Danish and Norwegian (Bokmål only, there are still three in Nynorsk). There are still different forms of verbs for different personal pronouns, while they're thesame for all of them in Swedish, Danish and Norwegian Bokmål. The proposed spelling also differs a lot from the regular Swedish one, and instead shares most of its rules with the Danish and Norwegian spellings.
