Arguments in favour

[edit]
  • There are several differences between Brazilian-Portuguese and Portuguese-Portuguese, not just in the way certain words are spelled but also in the overall syntax of sentences.
  • When you create an account on Wikipedia you can choose on your control panel between br-portuguese and pt-portuguese so why shouldn't that choice be extended throughout the actual contents of the Wikipedia itself.

Arguments against

[edit]

The code pfl is not for European Portuguese, it is for Pfaelzisch. "European Portuguese" is not a language yet, it is just a variety of Portuguese. Jesielt 23:47, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
