Though this is Polish, the form itself of Polish actually doesn't yet exist, and is why I am desperately pleading to Wikipedia that they at least let me test this! Anyways, this is created for people who speak a language whose orthography is written using the Cyrillic alphabet. The person doesn't have to understand Polish in order to read it, they just need to have knowledge of the Cyrillic alphabet and of the few modifications made to it for this language. Sample Text

Below is a text from regular Polish into the new form. I don't own any rights to the text, though. (Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights):

Latin Polish:

"Wszyscy ludzie rodzą się wolni i równi pod względem swej godności i swych praw. Są oni obdarzeni rozumem i sumieniem i powinni postępować wobec innych w duchu braterstwa."

Wikimedian Opinions

Arguments in favour

i find this a good idea. i myself have been working on a polish cyrillic alphabet. this one, however, is more phonetically based and based on the history of the plish letters, sounds and language as well as that or the cyrillic alphabet.

A Ą B C Ć D E Ę F G H I J K L Ł M N Ń O Ó P R S Ś T U W Y Z Ź Ż

Ja Ją Ch Cz Dz Dź Dż Je Ję Ji Jo Jó Rz Ść Sz Szcz Ju Jy

i wont say that this system is perfect, but it seems to work.

another note on my polish cyrillic alphabet, the juses may be replaced by А Е Я Є but each with an oganek for the sake of simplicity and the fact that this alphabet is largely based on those of ukrainian and russian.

i will demonstrate my alphabet through this sample.
