I don't think that it is a good idea. I want to see at least one or two extensive chapters of a book in Greenlandic, before I support this request. I don't expect that this project would be vigorous. I believe that, in order to make sense, such a proposal should come from or at least be supported by someone who actually speaks the language. Further, I have to concur, that the Kalaallisut Wikipedia is very weak and doesn't appear to have a community behind it. Browsing kl:Special:Recentchanges shows that there is almost no real editing activity. The Greenlandic Wiki commonity doesn't seem to be there yet. --Johannes Rohr 12:25, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

While I would generally support this language request and is a good faith effort to create such a project, my main concern is if there is a sufficient group of individuals who would be willing to help participate in building this community. The Greenlandic Wikipedia only has 47 articles, and I would have to say that writing a Wikibook is much harder than writing an encyclopedic article. If there is a community that wishes to go this way, I would strongly suggest that they develop the Wikipedia first as a sign of how strong their language community can be if other Wikimedia projects in the same language would be started. --Roberth 17:12, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
