Requests for comment/Enwiki topic ban proposal

Someone on the English Wikipedia admin's noticeboard is trying to get me banned from the "Wikipedia talk" namespace and village pumps for long-ago behavior in Templatespace. This topic ban proposal seems to be succeeding, and it would prevent me from participating in most Wikipedia policy discussions. I think this is way too far, as this would effectively exclude me from most of the discussions advertised via the Centralized Discussion template, as well as the most important parts of the Wikipedia policy-making process. @Renamed user TG9qYmFuaXN0: Whilst you can have an RFC here at meta, it will be pretty ineffectual, and pretty much is akin to farting in a spacesuit. You would be better to have that conversation at enWP where locals can discuss with more intimate knowledge of the local rules and processes.

Please note that an RFC at meta is not just an opportunity to have a whinge there has to be proposals, etc. If this becomes a general whinge page we will move it to your subpages.  — billinghurst sDrewth 10:44, 24 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
