Learning[edit]

Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:

  • What worked well? All the planning and time line worked out well. Most of the participants showed enthusiasm towards the two weeks contest.
  • What did not work so well? Apart from the increased price in the venue, camera rental and drinks for refreshment, the participants did not upload a lot of pictures.
  • What would you do differently next time? I believe this was because so much emphasis was on adding references during the training that they felt, uploading pictures won't benefit them in the contest. I would have also told them in our whatsApp group before the training to take good shoots of certain pictures for upload during our training. I would have added uploading of pictures as one of the criteria for winning in the contest. Never the less, that could actually be a focus in another event since this is purely for "1Lib1Ref".
