Wikimedia LGBT+, the Queering Wikipedia team and partners hosted
Queering Wikipedia 2023 Conference online on May 12, 14, and 17,
with distributed trans-local in-person MeetUp nodes 12–17 May 2023.

It was the first LGBTQ+ centered conference in the history of Wikimedia events, and was for LGBT+ Wikimedians, allies and guests. The event provided an opportunity to advance outreach, through partnerships, membership and public projects of the Wikimedia LGBT+ User Group as an organization, as well as to plan for the Queering Wikipedia follow-ups.

The conference was a hybrid of online and offline, trans-local, live and asynchronous events.

We also hosted a Creative program of poetry and an experimental AI art-and-poetry project: "Category:The queer history of Bagoas the Younger".
