Proposals for closing projects/Closure of Wolof Wiktionary

From Meta, a Wikimedia project coordination wiki

I was later contacted by a Wolof Wikipedia administrator who requested to have it re-opened. Therefore I requested this wiki to be unlocked again, see bugzilla:11512, since then, the Wiktionary has accumulated some content. --Johannes Rohr 11:47, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Closing the discussion. Result: CLOSE --Johannes Rohr 14:48, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The only activity on the Wolof wiktionary is the index.php spambot. Ahoerstemeier 08:08, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Arguments for closing Wolof Wiktionary

[edit]
  1. the only reaction from the Wolof Wikipedia community is in favour of closing the Wolof Wikiquote and Wiktionary:
::It's okay to close the project now. Just don't make it too hard to reopen it in the future. There might be a bigger Wolof speaking community active on this Wikipedia at some point, and they could decide to work on a Wolof Wiktionary. 1. Support No activity --Ooswesthoesbes 15:54, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Arguments against closing Wolof Wiktionary

[edit]
  1. Give them more time, I think there will be an editing community if they get more time --Ooswesthoesbes 11:48, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: A closure does not mean the project cannot be reopened. Right now there is noone taking care of that wiki and noone ever worked on it. Ahoerstemeier 15:43, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Of course I know that it can be reopened, but I see this isn't going anywhere so I strike my vote. --Ooswesthoesbes 15:54, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
