Support closure. There seems to be only one sentence in Northern Sami in all of se.wikibooks, the pages are either in Norwegian or index.php spambot pages. The se.wikipedia has finally come to live now, but they are only a handful active users, and maybe only one or two of them has Northern Sami as their mother tounge. None of the active users on se.wikipedia seems to have an account on se.wikibooks. Oppose No way! Don't close the Saami Wikibooks. It is a language, a living language, and should not be closed because of lack of activity. Lack of activity and no content is no excuse to close a wikipedia or a language in the sister projects. The future can never be told. Let's say 6 months from now 10 saami people get together and want to make some textbooks. Then Meta wiki has to get busy again and start making the se.wikibooks.org all over again? I am learning Saami at the moment, and when I speak enough to be understood, I will start editing on it at least. I think if you want to discuss closing projects, you should start by closing useless languages like Klingon and Interlingua and even Esperanto. I am highly against closing this wikiproject!! Re-opening a Wiki is not that big a job. It is hardly a bigger job than keeping a Wiki with no community tidy and clean from spam and vandalism. To find a Wiki with nothing but vandalism and spambot crap will to many be disencouraging. All there is in se.wikibooks now is this page and a deletion log. And it has been open for more than two years.
The best way to keep a Wiki open is to give it content and productive activity.

Give it time, and you'll see content. That is the whole point of wiki, it isn't a paid job, its volunteer. People will edit when they have time.

Please don't talk about Sami as if it is only one language, it is confusing. se. is the code for Northern Sami. There is for instance a proposal to open a Southern Sami Wikipedia. --Jorunn 10:04, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The most spoken dialect of Saami is Northern Saami, most other dialects are either extinct or have 5 speakers. (underexaggeration, get over it). I don't know where you got that idea from that I talked at Saami including all dialects, when I say Saami I am refering to Northern Saami, and I think when someone says Saami they refer to it too unless they specify Lule, Southern, so on. Trust me, I know my Saami, I must be one of the most obsessed non-Saami Saami person on Earth. ;) --Girdi 06:08, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
