I just did an experiment with students and ORES that was really quite successful. Would be great to build in more ORES/Revscore tools into Dashboard
Floor Koudijs
8:14 AM
It would be Andrew! I'm trying to aim for a doable and attainable goal for the dashboard first - but would also love to see further improvements! It would be great to add that to the wish list for later development.
Feel free to add / discuss your suggestion here: https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/tag/education-program-dashboard/

A few question, you mentioned some examples the last year about mentoring to GLAM leaders. Do you have some examples?
Ok
Stuart Prior
8:18 AM
Personalised reengagement is really important for us I think at WMUK, as reengaging dormant community members is important to us.
Any particular models or examples of this?
Andrew Lih
8:19 AM
Ivan, here with Wikimedia DC, we're also working on materials to help GLAM operations. These posters are what we're replicating for conferences and edit-a-thons

It's not a question, but more a concern: It's nice to see that WMF wants to work / support with the Affiliates on their GLAM initiatives. It would be great if you could do that in the partnership-like way. Affiliates have long-year experiences with GLAMs, so WMF shouldn't re-invent the wheel, but more act as facilitator among affiliates

A question for Floor, Anna was doing a historic data of education programs in a lot of countries. Will you design the dashboard according with the result of those data?
Floor Koudijs
8:27 AM
Let me answer that question live when Jaime is done.
Stuart Prior
8:28 AM
@Ivan, just a comment on GLAM,: tools that work are great, but at WMUK we're also trying to bring all of our WiRs together to work on the methodology of using Wikidata + GLAMs (this is feeding back into Wikidata's Data Partnerships) and we will hopefully be able to document this to provide models for others.
Cornelius Kibelka
8:28 AM
There is another question: You see yourself and the re-organising of your team(s) aligned with the new strategy process of the WMF. As I suppose you've been heavily involved in designing these approaches, can you answer me what "Align efforts between our affiliate organizations and the Wikimedia Foundation to increase local language and community coverage on key initiatives." means?
(I know, parts of this approach are covered by other CE teams, but parts also by your team)
How do you want to "align"? And what are "key initiatives"?
Ivan Martínez
8:31 AM
Stuart, that's very interesting to document. If you have some links about this will be nice to review.
上官良治
8:33 AM
Thank you, Floor. Sounds like a comparison between the before dashboard and after dashboard to me.
Floor Koudijs
8:33 AM
Exactly. Up until now, and then looking toward the future with better tech tools.
上官良治
8:34 AM
Now I learn better of the evidence based approach now, haha.
Stuart Prior
8:34 AM
Ivan, yes, our initial idea is to prevent us going back to square 1 with every new WiR and maintain the knowledge. But also, a WiR talking to another WiR at say, a Library, will face similar challenges so it's the best place to get advice from other WiRs and also with the input of experienced Wikidatians/WikiSourcians etc
Floor Koudijs
8:35 AM
This is great to hear Stuart, and makes total sense.

Cornelius Kibelka
8:38 AM
Thank you, Rosemary, for clarifying!
Stuart Prior
8:40 AM
Floor, yes at the moment we're just facilitating conversations between our WiRs and also a few select Wikidatians.
But we'd aim to have some sort of "summit"
And John at UNESCO is doing some excellent work with documenting Wikidata instructions for non-technical people (We call them Muggles).
