English Wikijunior is a project to write educational books for children from birth through 12 years of age. Started in 2004, Wikijunior volunteers have written over a dozen books for young children in subjects such as science, language, and history. Currently, the project has more than twenty titles under development. Departments include: A World of Discovery and Innovation, Our Natural World, and Our World of People. Wikijunior is closely tied to Wikibooks. Many books on Wikibooks are available for download in HTML or PDF formats.
