Proposed Resolution on Program Committees (2023-2024)

This proposal is regarded as inactive. It has not been voted on by the Board and is therefore not a resolution of the PhilWiki Community.

WHEREAS, per by-laws the corporate powers of the corporation shall be exercised, all business conducted and all property of the corporation be controlled and held by the board of trustees to be elected from among the members, who shall hold office for one (1) year and until their successors are elected and qualified;

WHEREAS, per Resolution on the Committee Chairpersonship of PH-WC’s Main Programs, the role of the program committee chairperson is managerial and supervisory in nature;

WHEREAS, the program committee chairpersons also serve as focal persons whose specific task is to implement, manage and oversee activities within the program;

WHEREAS, the main programs are Advocacy, Capacity Building, Diversity, Education, GLAM, and Outreach programs, and are headed by a committee chairperson appointed by the Board upon consultation with the general membership, to serve for a one-year term with reappointment;

WHEREAS, the Board may assign up to two committee to one person, or it may appoint a vice-chairperson to a committee program as necessary;

WHEREAS, the program committee chairperson may appoint up to five committee members, upon consultation and approval of the Board;

RESOLVED, that the following are appointed as program committee chairpersons to serve from May 13, 2023 to May 30, 2024:

Advocacy - Ian Kenneth Orasa
Capacity Building - Marvin Molin
Diversity - Maria Glenda Perico
Education - Marife Altabano
GLAM - Francis Charles Brioso
Outreach - Maffeth Opiana
