This proposal is regarded as inactive. It has not been voted on by the Board and is therefore not a resolution of the PhilWiki Community.
The Philippine Wikimedia Community (PH-WC) shall support its members to be involved in the Wikimedia movement, provide them an opportunity to interact and connect with regional and global Wikimedians, and gain experience and knowledge from the best practices in implementing projects and initiatives thru their attendance to regional and global Wikimedia conferences.
This policy shall cover any overseas in-person meetings, trainings, workshops, and conferences, or "conference" in this text, organized by a Wikimedia affiliate and/or funded by the Wikimedia Foundation.
All regular, associate and community members, regardless of age, gender, civil and economic status, religious orientation, political affiliation, among others, are eligible to apply and be designated as an official delegate of PH-WC thru a scholarship.
The Board shall facilitate the selection of the most qualified applicant/s to be an official delegate after full consideration of the criteria and requirements of the conference. The official delegate must also demonstrate the ability to perform the functions that will be assigned to him/her after attending the event.
An announcement inviting applicants shall be made on the official communication channels not less a week before the deadline to submit an official delegate to the conference. The call for applicants must include the requirements of the conference, the task and reporting requirements after participation, the obligation to the organizer, among others.
Delegates shall act on official capacity during the entire duration of the conference. They shall also not engage in any illegal activity or action detrimental to the interests of the organization.
Delegates must submit a written report on Meta about their participation within thirty (30) days after the end of the event.
The Board may hire an official travel agent to facilitate the necessary travel documents or visa.
All resolutions and other issuances inconsistent with this Resolution are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
If for any reason any provision or portions of it are found to be inconsistent with the By-laws or the laws, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.
