Open Knowledge Development Initiative (OKDI) is Open Knowledge Development Initiative is a nonprofit organization established in 2020 with a broad mission to facilitate positive societal change. Our primary objectives involve empowering individuals and communities by equipping them with the knowledge, tools, technologies, and resources necessary to derive change.

Objectives

  • To increase the visibility of African scientists and academics through the the Wiki Afrodemics Project
  • To train PWDs on the use Wikipedia and its sisters projects by people with disabilities My Ability with Disability Wikipedia Project
  • To document notable PWDs on Wikipedia and its sisters projects
  • To partner with organizations and bodies involved in African academics and scientists towards showcasing its resources.
  • To collaborate with organisations and bodies involved PWDs towards their training and documentations
