Ombuds commission/2014/Report Jul-Dec

In this report, we summarize the activities of the previous and present terms of the Commission, from July 1st until December 31st 2014.

During the above period, a total of 5 cases were brought before the commission. All of these cases were closed before the end of December.

Most cases were closed in less than 4 weeks from the original inquiry, and the breakdown is as follows:

• Closed in less than 5 days: 0
• Closed in more than 5 days but less than two weeks: 4
• One case was closed in 43 days.

In addition, one of the formerly closed cases was reopened upon the user's request, however reevaluation of the evidence by the OC resulted in the same conclusions as before.

In two cases, a violation of privacy policy was suspected and WMF was informed.

As a general statement, we would like to add that we found that the Commission still receives cases which are not well formulated. We recommend the community to formulate their inquiries based on the recommendations provided on Ombudsman commission#Submission.
