運動憲章はウィキメディア運動に関与する全ての人や組織の役割分担と責任の所在を定義します。運動戦略の方向性に向けた協働において、共通のフレームワークとなるものです。
運動憲章起草委員会では、この憲章の草案が作成されます。内容は運動戦略の推奨事項である「意思決定における公平性」に従います。委員会の仕事は草案の作成にまで及びます。これには、コミュニティ、専門家、および組織との調査とコンサルティングが含まれます。この草案は、憲章になる前に、運動全体の批准によって合意を得る必要があります。
このグループには約15人のメンバーがいます。運動の多様性を表すことが期待されています。多様性には、性別、言語、地理、および経験が含まれています。これには、企画、加入者、およびウィキメディア財団への参加が含まれます。詳細については、起草委員会のマトリックスを参照してください。
メンバーになるために英語の流暢さは必要ありません。必要に応じて、翻訳と通訳のサポートが提供されます。メンバーは、参加費を相殺するための手当を受け取る場合があります。 2か月ごとに100米ドルです。

求められる役割
委員に期待されること:
- 運動全体の利益のために行動すること。
- 戦略的方向性および運動戦略の推奨事項に従うこと。
- 普遍的な行動規範を遵守すること。
- 1年間に週平均5時間を投資することができるようにすること。 その時間は業務の流れによって異なる場合がある。
- オンライン会議に出席し、参加できるようにすること。
- 総意主導の開かれた環境でうまく仕事をすることができること。
- Be ready to appoint and onboard new committee members if members leave.
- Not be under active sanctions by any Wikimedia project or the Wikimedia Foundation, including events ban.
- Share identity information with the Wikimedia Foundation. Candidates for this position must submit proof of identity and evidence of age of majority[1] as a condition of candidacy. [2]
Candidate Profile
We are looking for people who:
- Know how to write collaboratively. (demonstrated experience is a plus)
- Are ready to find compromises.
- Focus on inclusion and diversity.
- Have the ability to see gaps that need to be covered.
- Have knowledge of community consultations.
- Have intercultural communication experience.
- Have governance or organization experience in non-profits or communities.
- Have experience negotiating with different parties.
Note: It is not expected that one individual will have the full profile. We are looking for profiles that complement each other. For further detail consult Drafting Committee matrices.

- 当委員会は15名で発足します。
- 候補者が20名を超える場合は、投票と選考の混合によりプロセスが進行します。
- 候補者が19名以下の場合は、投票を経ずに選考を行います。

Nominations for the Movement Charter Drafting Committee were closed on 14 September. Elections were held between October 12, 10:00 UTC to October 24, 2021 (AoE).
The results of the elections and selection processes were published on 1 November 2021.
