状況
運動憲章とはウィキメディア運動に参画する人々全員を対象とし、役務と責任範囲を定義します（Movement Charter）。戦略的方向性の実現のため、お互いに協力し合う共有の枠組みとして機能します。
The Movement Charter Drafting Committee will create a draft of this Charter. The content will follow the Movement Strategy recommendation “Equity in Decision-Making”. The committee's work extends to writing a draft. It includes research and consulting with communities, experts, and organizations. This draft will need to gain consensus by Movement-wide ratification before it becomes the Charter.
This Drafting Committee will have around 15 members. It is expected to represent diversity in the Movement. Diversity includes gender, language, geography, and experience. This comprises participation in projects, affiliates, and the Wikimedia Foundation. For further detail consult Drafting Committee matrices.

- 委員6名を選出し任命する起草委員会を支援するために実施するべきこと：地域ごとに透明性のある提携団体の選出手順を経て選考者1名を任命し、選考委員会を合計9名で構成する。
- 各地域ごとに望ましい選考方法を決定。
- 選考者の任命と委員会の結成は必ず2021年10月10日までに行う。
- 選考手順と選挙の過程は並行して実施、多様性と専門知識のマトリクスに基づき起草委員会に多様な専門家のプロファイルを追加することを重視します。
- 選考者ごとに、それぞれ希望する候補者名簿を作ります。
- 各人の希望を出し合い、グループの総意として選考を確定する会議を開きます。
- 選考期間は2021年10月11日 - 同24日とします。
- 2021年10月31日いっぱいで選考結果および起草委員会の委員を発表します。（Drafting Committee）
- 選考者に任命された場合、起草委員会の候補者にはなれません。
選考者を決める手順
- 改版は2021年10月10日時点、財団とウィキカンファレンス北アメリカの参加者の短い会議後（WikiConference North America participants）：
- 〆切日を延長、2021年10月13日とする（DEADLINE）
- 手続き上の問題として暫定代表が一時的に役務に着くと申し出ており、短期限定であって長期的な選考者ではありません（Kevin Payravi/User:SuperHamster）（A PROVISIONAL）
- 以下の手順案は、提携団体による指名と最終的な「投票」を可能にするために提示されました：（A PROPOSED PROCESS）
- 10月11日 - 手順を説明するために WALRUS と ウィキメディア・カナダ協会が開く緊急会議の(会議の情報)
- 同月11日-12日 - 指名期間（現状はこのページで受付）
- 同月13日（終業時間） - 提携団体代表が以下の表に希望する候補者名を記入する〆切
- 選考者は単純多数決で決定し、すべての提携団体に投票の義務はありません
