I tried to translate this template but received this error message:
Saving the translation failed: The title "Translations:Meta:FormWizard/Config/Rapid/Page display title/ar" has been banned from creation. It matches the following blacklist entry: " Translations:Meta:FormWizard\/Config\/.* "
I had similar issues with templates containing Meta in their title. What can I do? --HaythamAbulela 07:21, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
- @Haytham abulela: Hey Haytham, thanks for offering to translate. The page is blacklisted due to some kind of security issue related to FormWizard config pages generally. - @I JethroBT (WMF):, @Haytham abulela: unfortunately these config pages have been blacklisted because of possible cross-site scripting vulnerability. See task T129058 for more info. I don't fully understand the issue, and I'm not sure how to address it. As you can see, the phab task has been open for a while, and even after extensive discussion it's not clear to me how or when this issue will be resolved. My best advice is to re-start the discussion on Phabricator (perhaps ping Tgr (WMF) who seems to have a better grasp of the issue than I do) and see if the issue can be addressed by modifying the gadgets themselves while preserving the existing translations.
