Problematic user

Hello, not sure who I should contact about this so I hope someone has this on their watchlist! Please consider blocking these users ClaireBodin (talk • contribs • deleted contribs • logs • filter log • block user • block log • GUC • CA) and ClaraBodin (talk • contribs • deleted contribs • logs • filter log • block user • block log • GUC • CA). The image they uploaded to the Commons was porn spam and has been deleted (and they have been blocked there). I noticed through the 'check-usage' that it was being used on these two pages. Thanks, (commons:User:pfctdayelise) pfctdayelise 23:52, 20 February 2006 (UTC)

Done. In future, you can leave a request on the talk page of one of the administrators, or ask in the #wikimedia IRC channel. Essjay TalkContact 02:58, 21 February 2006 (UTC)

Problem with the policy

I think that sentence: Being a sysop on a local wikipedia or related project. should be changed into Being a sysop, bureaurcat and/or checkuser on a local wikipedia or related project. Local rule on Serbian Wikipedia is that checkuser can't be admin nor bureaucrat. I think that adminship here is nor related strictly to adminship on local Wikipedias, but to trust to the user. Bureaucrat or checkuser are the positions of higher trust then admin. --Millosh 10:11, 2 March 2006 (UTC)

Since there were not oppositions, I've added this detail to the policy. --M/ 21:23, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

For what Admins?

Actually MetaWiki has more than 60 Admins. But for what? I'm waiting for around 1 1/2 month for an admin to react at the Diskussion for the Article Interwiki map. Nothing. In this weeks also other Requests are coming - but not an admin. But if the side is locked and a normal user is not alowed to chance something must the admins come and take a look! Or we don't need them here. Kenwilliams 16:16, 11 March 2006 (UTC)

Meta-admins are not hanging around here to see of there is anybody asking something on a talk page. The few active Meta admins are doing general wiki-maintenance and working on there own projects on meta. If you need the assistance of a sysop you need to ask one for help. I will look at Interwiki map.
Because of you comments I have made now the page Meta:Requests for help from a sysop. You can find it on the RC in the "Meta affairs:" section. --Walter 19:37, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. At the End it seems I dont' understand the sense of Meta-Wiki... Kenwilliams 12:59, 12 March 2006 (UTC)

Assistant to desysop.

Desysop

Hai all, I'm bureaucrat from Wikipedia Bahasa Melayu (MS). Currently there are 2 sysop who request to withdraw from Wiki, but I was unable to desysop them. How do I go about doing it? They are PM Poon, and Emrrans. They have already deleted their user page. I cannot find the desysop function. Yosri 10:54, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

A bureaucrat needs to do that. --M1ss1ontomars2k4 22:58, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Bureaucrats can't desysop, only stewards can. List the request on Requests for permissions. Essjay (TalkConnect) 07:20, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

Email

Yesterday I checked for email in confirmed and unconfirmed sysops, today I've continued my check and I've found that 31 administrator out of 59 listed here do not have a working E-mail this user link. As this is kindly requested as a pre-requisite for any new sysop to come, may I suggest to existing administrator to check:

  • If they have entered a valid email in their own preferences
  • If they have confirmed the email
  • If they have checked the box Enable e-mail from other users

Thank you --M/ 12:56, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

done. Thanks for the reminder and above walkthrough :o) Ashar Voultoiz 23:26, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
How about I just mark all the administrator emails as confirmed? -- Tim Starling 14:26, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
Done (for meta only). Note that the following users have apparently disabled user-to-user email: Eloquence, Aoineko, TUF-KAT, Sj, Silsor, Kate, Millosh, RN. -- Tim Starling 14:43, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
That's odd. Fixed. silsor 23:10, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
Done. (I didn't disabled, I just didn't do anything. I think that this is the reason why the most people "disabled" user to user email.) --Millosh 20:58, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

Tim fixed this when he set them to confirmed. Test mail to me worked fine with no action on my part except sending it. Jamesday 02:35, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
done. - Mark Ryan 14:11, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

My desysoping

I notice that I've been desysoped however nobody let me know before that I would be. And the main argument is Aphaia's accusation that I abused sysop's right editing the english election page: I didn't change any word in the text, I only introduced a multilingual template that automatically provided only working links to existing pages {{ElectionBox}}. Is that a reason to desysop me ? Arno Lagrange  09:47, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

You weren't reconfirmed [1]. guillom 07:25, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

Ikanto

Can some check the contributes of User:Ikanto? Ther isn't a page about w:Ikanto on Wikipedia and so I think, thats User:Ikanto make non sens.

But, I don't want to revert his contributes, because maybe I'm wrong.

-- MichaelFrey 13:35, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Now I see it: [2] when User:83.171.178.115 and User:Ikanto are the same person ...
I made a delete request for his picture and revert his edits.
Can a Admin block him?
