More Metrics – Coming Soon!

More volume Metrics to help measure the quantity of an editor’s wiki work:

  • pages_created: the number of new pages created (articles or, most importantly, photos)
by a cohort over a specified time period. You will soon be able to see the total number of pages created by your cohort and the average per contributor within a selected window of time.
  • edit_rate: the quantity of edit contributions over a given time period (i.e., edits/time period)
  • time_to_threshold: the time a contributor takes to reach a given level of activity. You will soon be able to find out average number of days your cohort members took to complete their ‘first_edit’ or how many days or for them to make five edits.

Retention Metrics to help measure whether an editor is active and how active an editor is during or after a given timespan

  • threshold: returns positive or null response that indicates whether a user has reached a given level of activity within a specified amount of time. You will be able to see what proportion of your cohort contributes at the threshold level you set.
  • survival: returns positive or null response that indicates whether or not a user has participated on a Wikimedia project beyond a specified time period (e.g., a week, month, year, etc)
. Users are considered "surviving" if they continue to edit after the time period has ela

psed. Soon you will be able to query what proportion of your cohort continued contributing after a specified time period.
