I am currently translating various Meta pages into the German language. To enable even more pages to be translated, I would like to make use of the Translation adminship. Support, since you seems to pay attention to properly learn the syntax. Some advices:

Templates are usually not the easiest pages to prepare for translation (many non-translatable and disjointed content)
As you noticed it, unit markers should not be added manually, they are automatically added by the software.
A recommendation is avoiding blank spaces just after opening translate tag, and just before closing it. The tags should be next to real translatable text.
I.e. <translate>yes</translate> instead of <translate> yes </translate>

Thanks for your support and the advice. I have already read the recommendations in the guidelines and will try to apply them. I found the page to be quite manageable, but you're probably right with most of the templates. –MrBenjo (talk) 12:32, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
