I'm not sure if this bot needs approval at the current time (it definitely doesn't need a bot flag at the moment), but I'm posting this just in case. It currently makes a maximum of one edit per day to WMF Advanced Permissions using the code at User:Mike Peel/WMF permissions script. I will be adding more functionality in the future (probably related to Wikidata, and/or other meta/enwp/commons monitoring applications), and would appreciate advice about the point that I should seek pre-emptive approval before making automated edits though this bot account. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 23:49, 18 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mike. Thanks for opening this. We've been requiring bot operators to always ask here before running automated scripts. Given the certainly low level of edits now, I'd say that we could approve this task without the need of bot flag for now. If you wish to run other tasks in the future we'd appreciate you to let us know about them. I'll wait a day or two so people can comment if they wish to, but feel free to continue updating that page for now. Regards, —MarcoAurelio 11:16, 19 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
OK, thanks. I'll certainly be adding other tasks in the future - should they be discussed on this page, or a different one? Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 13:46, 19 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
We've been using different subpages, such as Meta:Requests for bot status/Pi bot (2), etc. Regards, —MarcoAurelio 09:21, 20 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
