Waihorace

I want to nominate myself as of I think my self have got some global contributions around at least 50 wikis. I am a global rollback and a sysop on Chinese Wikinews and Test Wiki. Also patroller on zhwp, rollback & autopatrol on yuewp. If I become an admin, I can help with the translation work (for example update some protected pages) especially for my native language - zh. Thank you. --Waihorace 12:35, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Can you please explain how being a sysop would help you with translations? What protected pages are you referring to? Thank you, Nemo 18:29, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment - You got temporary sysoprights on December 23rd, which expired on March 23rd and thus you could lose it every moment. On February 10th you became a sysop on testwiki; only for testing as I understand it right. You're definitely cross-wiki active as I can see in your SUL, but I'm hesitating about your experience with the sysoptool. Perhaps you could ask for temporary rights? Kind regards, Trijnstel 18:51, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- I can't quie figure out what is going on here. Waihorace was granted three months temporary sysop access here, but it doesn't appear to have ever been documented on Steward requests/Permissions/Approved temporary, or extended/made permanent. I'm leaning towards a support here, but I'd like to see this cleared up before formally !voting. Courcelles 19:49, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Here's the final request; Nick1915 advised on January 10th to wait until March, while Mav completed the request on February 5th. Trijnstel 20:16, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Okay, thanks. Courcelles 20:38, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Just FYI, Waihorace got permanent adminship at zhwikinews per Steward_requests/Permissions/2011-03#Waihorace.40zhwikinews. The meta log should have been updated to avoid all this confusion, by removing his rights from meta and letting the local bureaucrat add them locally. -- Dferg ☎ talk 22:22, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Support. Since this is a non-content wiki, and Waihorace is evidently trusted, I have no problem with this request. PeterSymonds (talk) 19:44, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
{{support}}
Abstain. Same thinking as Peter. Courcelles 20:38, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]- Can't support over clear and strong objection from candidate's language community. Courcelles 09:01, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Support, no reason why not really. Not like adminship on meta is a big deal, and this user clearly won't damage anything :) Ajraddatz (Talk) 22:12, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose: I am a user from zhwp. Recently, Waihorace started a campaign to send public letter to Baidu, a Chinese online encyclopedia service provider, to complain about their failure in obeying CC license. However, Waihorace left Wikimedia's Email address on several relevant pages, that led the public believed the campaign was started by WMF at first. I understand that this may be a innocent mistake, but I'm really concerned about Waihorace's ability to make sure he won't harm WMF and other people according to his previous behaviors. This is meta, the center of Wikimedia sites, so I believe this is not the right time to grant Waihorace adminship here. Although I really appreciate Waihorace's progress on zhwikip and in SWMT.--Tommyang 06:00, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose: I totally agree with Tommyang. Waihorace is too young in mental age and I don't trust him as an admin of meta. --PhiLiP 06:34, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose: He is only equal grade seven student in US and Canada, I can't believe him. He need more social expericnce. He failed in Chinese sypop candicates.--Flamelai 07:24, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose, user requested for adminship on zhwiki four times and all failed. Also don't believe he has the ability to properly handle admin stuffs per his talk page behavior on zhwiki. IMHO he can be described as a trouble-maker :)--Jimmy Xu 08:40, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Strongly oppose, HW (a.k.a. Waihorce) have already caused enough trouble on Chinese Wikipedia, and each time he just left and refused to response when things went wrong. I don't think he is competent to become an admin on Meta. --Kuailong 08:49, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- ...and I withdrawn my apply. I will apply later when time is suitable. --Waihorace 09:33, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
