- Why is this user awesome?
Imranqazi90 joined 2 years ago and are currently an admin on the Kashmiri Wiktionary. They are doing a great job in maintaining the Wiktionary with more than 9000 edits. Literally it is their hardwork which keeps the project working. I would therefore love to nominate them for a T-shirt. I hope this T-shirt will make them feel good.

- Oppose. Please send the user a Barnstar or your personal thanks, or buy them a gift out of your own money. Please do not give away donors money on these little known and little attended internal gifts. SilkTork (talk) 17:38, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
- SilkTork, not trying to change your vote but a little confused with your rationale. Merchandise giveaways don't just apply to big wikis. --Ferien (talk) 19:38, 9 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Ferien. The wording is "little known and little attended internal gifts" not Wikis. This gift offer is known to only a few people. Nominations have been made by only a handful of people who were aware of the gift. It effectively has been a personal gift from one person to another, paid for out of donors money. BarnStars are free, are well known, and for most recipients are a badge of honour and recognition. اِفلاق should give Imranqazi90 a BarnStar, or if they feel that Imranqazi90 deserves a gift, they should pay for that themselves. - @SilkTork Thankyou for your view. I do respect your view about using donor money in place where it is needed most. Some people may think of this as a waste of money, but if this encourages editors to continue to contribute, I won't align with the view of it being futile. Some small Wiki's are existing due to the hardwork of few users. A small token of love from the foundation creates a positive impact. Without exaggerating, the work Imranqazi90 has done on Kashmiri Language projects is extraordinary. Since this program is active, I don't feel any obligation not to nominate them. However, your view is a valid point, you can raise such issue in a better place about closure of the Merchandise giveaway program. But I think the oppose is totally out of context here.
