Wikidata Eleventh Birthday celebrated by MWUG members

Background

The Wikidata 11th Birthday event was a vibrant celebration organized by the Maithili Wikimedians User Group in Rajbiraj, Nepal. The local Wikimedians, and community members gathered together to celebrate the 11 years of Wikidata, a free and open knowledge base and largest Wikimedia project by the number of items. Maithili Wikimedians have organized Workshop, editing session, and discussions on the importance of Wikidata in preserving and promoting Maithili language and culture. The event highlighted the group's efforts to contribute to global knowledge while fostering local community engagement and digital literacy. It was a successful gathering that strengthened the connection between the Maithili-speaking community and the broader Wikimedia movement.
