Maithili Wikimedians User Group/Events/International Women's Day Event in 2024

The International Women's Day Event was organized on 9th March, 2024 by Maithili Wikimedians in Rajbiraj, Nepal. We have celebrated this event by rewarding the strong and dedicated women's of Rajbiraj in different field of the society. We have invited Acting Mayor of Rajbiraj, Isharat Pravin to this event as a chief guest. This is first of it's kind event organized by the Maithili Wikimedians to aware, interact and reward Women and college students. We have collaborated with Kshitiz Educational Foundation to provide their college students, which were interested to know much more about the importance of Wikipedia and scope of native language in the world of openness.

Students

There are more than 35 college students from Kshitiz Educational Foundation, who perform a play about the Importance of Wikipedia in academics. They also help as a volunteer to take care of the guests and necessity of the events.
