Definition

Score is an attempt to compare projects by multiple parameters. It considers a content size, community greatness and a popularity among readers.

Currently score is defined as:

where

${\text{S}}_{content}=-\ln \left({\frac {Articles_{proj}}{Articles_{max}}}*0.5+{\frac {Edits_{proj}}{Edits_{max}}}*0.5\right)$,

${\text{S}}_{community}=-\ln \left({\frac {ActiveUsers_{proj}}{ActiveUsers_{max}}}*0.5+{\frac {Users_{proj}}{Users_{max}}}*0.5\right)$,

${\text{S}}_{views}=-\ln \left({\frac {Views_{proj}}{Views_{max}}}\right)$,

$Articles_{proj}$ is a number of articles of the project, $Edits_{proj}$ is a total edit number of the project, $ActiveUsers_{proj}$ is a number of active users of the project, $Users_{proj}$ is a total user number of the project, $Views_{proj}$ is a total views of the project during the last year. $Parameter_{max}$ describes the same parameter of a leading project (usually, English Wikipedia). So, the score calculates a difference between the project and the leading project.

For example, the score of German Wikipedia is calculated as:

${\text{S}}_{community}=-\ln(18,496/123,869/2+3,358,836/38,010,926/2)=2.13$,

${\text{S}}_{views}=-\ln(11,322,307,278/92,170,108,489)=2.10$, so

${\text{Score}}=1.19+2.13+2.10=5.42$.
