Inauguration of Karavali Wikimedians User Group and a meetup of Karavali Wikimedians User Group was orgainsed at Moodubidire during the Alvas Nudisiri program.

Inauguration of Karavali Wikimedians User Group

Karavali Wikimedians User Group was inaugurated by Dr Mohan Alva on Nov 19, 2016 during Alvas Nudisiri at Moddubidire.

Meetup

Karavali Wikimedians User Group had the first meetup post the inauguration. The following points were discussed and agreed upon:

Karavali Wikimedians User Group will

1. Work towards popularising and improving Tulu, Kannada and Konkani Wikipedias
2. Work towards popularising and improving other projects of Wikimedia like Wikisource, Wiktionary, Wikiquote, etc., in Tulu, Kannada and Konkani languages
3. Partner with educational and other institutions to achieve the above mentioned goals
4. Apply to Wikimedia Foundation for recognition and affiliation
