Annual Report: Achievements and Activities of the Igbo Wikimedians User Group (May 6, 2024 – May 5, 2025)
This report highlights the key accomplishments and initiatives undertaken by the Igbo Wikimedians User Group during the reporting period. Commencing with an annual grant in 2024 and 2025, our primary objective was to expand Igbo-language content across various Wikimedia platforms and upskilling members of our communities to take up leadership roles in various projects organised in the community. Through strategic planning and execution, we organized a series of impactful programs, including edit-a-thons, contests, bi-monthly webinars, capacity-building sessions and other engaging activities. Collectively, these efforts resulted in the creation of over 15,000 pages, articles, entries, items, and files across multiple Wiki projects, including Igbo Wikipedia, Igbo Wikiquotes, Igbo Wiktionary, Wikidata, Wikisource and Wikimedia Commons. IWUG WEBINARS
[edit]The Igbo Wikimedians User Group in partnership with the CapX Community is organizing an online outreach session focused on the CapX Tool, a platform developed by and for the Wikimedia Movement. IG Conference Experience Sharing Session - 28/02/2025
