This event themed Movement Charter language visibility is a translation event that will engage attendees on Meta-Wiki tranlations. This event will also expose attendees to everything they need to know about Meta-Wiki and Movement Charter, Movement Charter chapters and translations.

Outcome

The Anambra State in-person event held in Nnamdi Azikiwe University under the Ig Wiki Librarians Hub which is an arm of the Igbo Wikimedians User Group. During the event, participants were enlightened about Movement Strategy, Movement Charter and the need for language visibility. Trainings and instructions were given for attendees to understand how translations are done on Meta-Wiki which was different from the Igbo Wikipedia translations that most of them were used to. For most attendees, it was their first time to translate pages on Meta-Wiki and they appreciated the training and experience. Since most participants used smartphones, instructions were given to mobile phone users and laptop users for effective outcome. During the translation timeline, 20+ pages were translated to Igbo by attendees, a few pages were not marked for translation. This will be communicated to the translation admins so that pages can be marked and translation can go on.
