Dear Venuslui,

Thank you for submitting this report. We're accepting this report with the following feedback:

  • It's great that you had such a good turnout for your presentation. 100 is a significant crowd! Also glad to hear that you had interest from the Information Technology Division Director of the Ministry of Culture in Taiwan and the Assistant Professor from Graduate Institute of Museum Studies, Fu Jen Catholic University. Do you have a follow-up plan to connect them with more information about engaging in Wikipedia and the Asian Arts Database?
  • Thanks for linking to outcomes for your report!

I'm pinging Alex Stinson, who commented on your initial request, in case he has additional insights to add.

Best regards,

Hey @Venuslui:! Sounds like a great crowd! As with Marti, I hope the followup happens as well. As (I think we mentioned) at Wikimania, the trick will be getting some folks who want to be technically involved in migrating, aggregating and maintaining the art data. Sum of All Paintings is a really good model -- and could help a lot with thinking about the data model and the kinds of concerns that might come along.
Also, as you are starting to think about which data would be good to migrate to Wikidata, or to sync up with media on commons -- its probably best to get in touch with the team working on GLAMPipe in Finland. They have one of the best tools, at the moment, for moving metadata into Wikimedia projects -- especially Wikidata. Please let me know if you want to get in touch with them.
